Dorita Daisy Buggs, age 78, was born February 3, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Altiee Thurman.

Dorita departed this life on August 12, 2018 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sons; Reginald F. Buggs and Robert R. Buggs.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; Bob Buggs, 1 son; Craig Buggs, 4 daughters; Lisa Tatum-Buggs, Rita Buggs, Trecia Chester and Rachael Buggs, 1 brother; Melvin Thornton, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 4:00 Pm to 6:00 PM at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Lamb of God Church, 57 Rena SW, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
