Larry Harp, age 66, was born July 26, 1951 in Gadsden, Alabama to Elmore Harp, Sr. and Mattie Harp.

Larry departed this life on August 7, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother; Charles Harp.

He is survived by his wife; Helen Harp, daughters; Danielle (Gregory) Beckley and Dione (David) Boles, 1 brother; Elmore Harp, Jr., 1 sister; Deloria Harp, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral services will held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church, 513 Henry SE, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
