Charles Edward Sumrell, age 51, was born November 3, 1965 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Eddie Mobley and Curbie Toliver.

Charles departed this life on April 12, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his father and 1 sister; Linda.

Charles leaves cherish his memory his children; Shaquille Sumrell, Tanesha Sumrell and Amiyah Sumrell, his mother; Curbie Toliver, 2 brothers; Ralph (Vanessa) Sumrell and Darrell Mobley, 6 sisters; Rochell Sumrell, Elmira (Rodney) Jones, Rose Sumrell, Carol, Vaughn and Elaine and a host of other family and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 12:00 Noon.
