Allen Love, age 84, was born September 17, 1932 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Jacob and Asalle Rogers.

Allen departed this life on January 4, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his parents and wife; Annie L. Love.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter; Bathsheba (Reed) Bordeaux, brothers; John (Darlene) Love and Nathan Love, 2 sisters; Cora Lee and Willie Mae Love, 1 sister in-law; Annie Knighton and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. SE, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church, 130 Delaware SE, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
