Obituary for Callie Harden
Callie Harden was born May 20, 1918 in Doeville, Tennessee to John and Blanche Vaught.
Callie went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Blanche Vaught, one daughter; Christine A. Woods, five brothers; Carl Vaught, Stanley Vaught, Jay Vaught, Edward Vaught and Joseph Vaught and four sisters; Vinnie Cunningham, Sallie Widby, Dora Kindel and Mary Sterling.
She leaves behind her legacy to her two sons; Larry Woods and Harry Woods, one daughter; Yvonne Pierre, two brothers; John Vaught and Loy Vaught Sr., one sister; Ella Vaught, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Callie worked at Blodgett hospital as a cook for years, she also loved bowling.
Public visitation will be held on Monday, May 06, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at Messiah Baptist Church, 513 Henry Ave SE, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family an hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
