Mattie went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 1, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Martin and Sammie Lee Martin, two brothers: James Martin and Wilbert Martin, two sisters: Shirley Green and Annie Martin.
She leaves behind her legacy to her two sons: David Lee Austin and Gerald Eugene Floyd' Martin, two daughters: Velma Marnett Martin and Jennifer Monique Martin, two brothers: Henry Martin and Robert Martin, one sister: Viola Martin, 16 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family and friends,
Public visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 8, 2019 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM. Friends may meet with the family an hour prior to services at 12:00 PM.
