Rommie went to be with his lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife; Eddie Mae Young, 1 son: Levi Baker, 3 brothers; Clyde Allen, Tommie L Holder, and Leroy Young Jr. 3 sisters; Mary L. Edwards, Sherrie Young, and Trellis Cuffie,,and a son in law; Edward L. Flowers.
He leaves behind his legacy to 4 daughters; Selisa Young, Gloria (Edward) Flowers, Loretta (Jimmie) English, and Barbara (Earskin Jr.) Carter, 1 daughter in law; Donna Baker, 6 brothers; Climmie (Barbara Ann) Westbrook, James Calvin, James Arthur, Oscar Young, Charles Young, and Douglas Young, 7 sisters; Rudine Mosley, Barbara Warren, Cynthia Saulsberry,Frances Howard, Kasui Young, Wavaleen Miller, and Dorothy Rivera, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of other family and friends.
Public visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Avenue SE. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Christ Temple Church, 1975 Jefferson Avenue SE, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family a hour prior to service at 10:00 AM.
