Sharon Lee Burton, age 79, was born September 03, 1939 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Maurice Weekly and Lorraine Newton.

Sharon worked for General Motors for 30 years. She enjoyed bowling, church, and cooking. She was very funny, quite the entertainer. Her family was very important to her.

Sharon went to be with her lord on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; Ronald Eugene Ackerson, and Maurice Weekly, and 2 sisters; Shirley Ann Smith, and Beatrice Viola Scott.

She leave behind her legacy to 2 sons; Robert Darrell Burton, and Rodney Duane Burton, 1 daughter; Sabrina Lynn Burton, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Avenue SE. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Brown Hutcherson Ministries, 618 Jefferson Avenue SE, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to service at 10:00 AM.
