Obituary for Cleo Imogene Parks

Cleo Imogene Parks, age 95, was born November 07, 1922 in Atlanta, Indiana to Clarence Sweat and Clova Mae Sweat.

Cleo loved cooking, sewing, baking, traveling with her husband, and most important her family. She enjoyed traditional church songs, and was active in every church her husband pastored. She had the best pies around. Cleo was the real definition of "MOM".

Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Lyman S. Parks Sr., 3 sons; Lyman Andree Parks, Lawrence Starling Parks, and Leo Stanley Parks, 2 brothers; William Lawrence Sweat, and Everett Wayne Sweat, and 2 sisters; Thelma Mae Burnette, and Sharon Aketha Waldon. She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons; Larry Steven Parks, and Lyman Starling Parks Jr., 4 daughters; Linda Sue Parks King, Lana Scheryl Parks Miller, Londa Sharon Parks, and Lawana Sans Parks, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Community AME Church, 500 James Avenue SE. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the First Community AME Church, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet the family a half hour prior to service at 10:30 AM.
