James Albert Cage, age 70, was born July 23, 1948 to Tommy and Addie Cage in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

James departed this life on October 9, 2018 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his mother; Addie Cage.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; Deborah Cage, 2 daughters; Tiffany Cage and Miliece "Lisa" Taylor (Jerry), 3 step-sons; Richard Morgan, Mark Morgan(Crystal), Titul Morgan (Michelle), father; Tommy Cage, 3 brothers; J.D. Cage, Leonard Cage and Timothy Cage, 3 sisters; Thelma Bezell, Vivian Cage and Debra Hayes (Percy). 15 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. SE, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2018 at New Life Church of God In Christ, 1072 Jefferson Ave. SE, at 12:00 noon. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 11:00 AM.
