Rayette Lynn Townsend, age 52, was born October 19, 1965 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Bobby James Townsend and Rosemarie Bradley.

Rayette loved spending time with her family, visiting her parents, and had a great love for her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories her parents, 3 daughters; Ashley Bentley, Brianna Townsend, and Lavetta Lindsay, 6 brothers; Bobby Jiarr, Derick James Townsend, Rickey Miller, Justice, Jasper, and Jyles, 5 sisters; Tanya, Sharnell, Anaundhi, Jana Townsend, and Zari, 5 grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 1:00PM to 4:00 PM at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Avenue SE. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 21, 2018 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, at 12:00PM. Friends may meet with the family one-half hour prior to services at 11:30AM.
