Dyrek Leontay Griffin, age 17, was born July 12, 2000 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Teisha Acklin and Derrick Griffin.

Dyrek leaves to cherish his memory his parents, 2 brothers; Teion Fields, and Derrick Griffin Jr., 2 sisters; Kanesha Morton, and Kenteria Williams, his girlfriend; Iesha Ballard, 2 nephews; Teion Fields Jr., and Amir Fields, a loving cousin; Aliyanah McElwee, and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 16, 2018 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to service, at 12:00 PM.
