Willie Mack Couch, age 79, was born July 13, 1938 in Abbeyville, Mississippi to Frank Couch and Mattie Couch.

Willie departed this life on June 4, 2018 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Frank, Jr, Fredell, Malcom, Brodie B., William (Pete), Robert, Edward (Nick), Sisters; Bernice Couch, Josie Mae Bell, Jeanette Lucks and Son; Treazie Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; Ruthie Couch, children; Michael Couch (Nina), Pamela Smith, Ericka Smith (Ernest), Helen Green and Sharon Norman (Brent), brothers; Joseph (Mildred) Couch of Phoenix, Arizona
Jerry (Kathy) Couch of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Albert (Jackie) Jones of Chicago, Illinois, sisters; Jeannette Couch of Abbeville, Mississippi, Bessie Dixon of Abbeville, Mississippi, Berta Sue Couch of Davenport, Iowa, Mary Ellen Campbell of Davenport, Iowa, Mary Lee Brandon all of Davenport, Iowa, sisters-in-law; Mavis Couch of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Nellie Couch of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mary Couch of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Vera Couch of Davenport, Iowa and Betty Robinson of Forest, Mississippi; brother-in law; Willie Gray of Memphis, Tennessee.
13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a hosts of nieces, nephews and special family friend, Wayne Morris.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2100 Horton Ave SE, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.

Military interment will take place on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek, Michigan.
