Beatrice LeEtta Pierre, age 96, was born September 19, 1921 in Flint, Michigan to John and Jessie George.

Beatrice departed this life on May 23, 2018 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by her husband; Hilton Pierre, son; Gravelle Pierre, daughter; Yvonne Mathis, brothers; Ernest George, Westley George, Cecil George and Leslie George, sisters; Leona Kemp, Lorraine Putnam, Jessie Robertson and Erma "Mickie" George.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons; Andre (Brenda) Pierre, Francois Pierre and Rene' Pierre, 1 sister; Rita Lewis, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church, 513 Henry St. SE, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
