Vera Genise Barefield, age 54, was born June 10, 1963 in Indianola, Mississippi to Jimmie Harvey Sr. and Mattie Riley.

Vera was preceded in death by her mother; Mattie Harvey. She leaves to cherish her memories her father; Jimmie Harvey Sr., 4 sons; Jerry Harvey(Kefon), Dywane Harvey(Tiffany), Derrick Dunbar(Shannon), and Roderick Freeman, 1 daughter; Selena Harvey, 3 brothers; James Harvey(Hollie Mae), Jimmie Harvey Jr.(Erica), and Marvin Harvey, 1 sister; London Freeman(David), 4 grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Vera, also known as Niecey, loved music, playing cards, cooking, get-togethers, and most of all her family.

Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 02, 2018 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Avenue SE, at 12:00 PM. Friends may meet with the family a hour prior at 11:00 AM.
