Julius Doyle Jones, age 74, was born September 25, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Early and Anna Jones.

Julius departed this life on February 13, 2018 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother; Kenny Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; Mable Jones, his daughters; Monica Jones, Debra Scott and Robin Scott, 2 brothers; Richard Jones (Rebecca) and Rudolph Jones (Myrtle), 1 sister; Phyllis Cox (Charles), 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. SE, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, February 19, 2018 at St. Luke AME Zion Church, 101 Delaware SE, at 12:00 noon. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 11:00 AM.
