Obituary for Mildred Jones

Mildred Jones, age 76, was born January 20, 1941 in Ashport, Tennessee to Melvin and Eria Parker.

Mildred departed this life on October 25, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by her parents, brother; John B.W. Campbell and sisters; Jessie Lee Bonds and Ertha Mae King and brother in-law Henry Collier.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; James Jones, children; Edward (Tracey) Parker, Michael Jones, Torrelli Jones, Vincent (Patricia) Jones, Gwendolyn (Keven) Jones and Loreli Jones, brother; Melvin Parker, Jr., sisters; Betty (Genie) Gooch and Earlean Collier, 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 3, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. SE, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Lamb of God, 57 Rena SW, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
