Charles Jones, age 59, was born January 19, 1958 in Shelby, Mississippi to Sam and Idalia Jones.

Charles departed this life on September 10, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers; Percy Owens, Henry Lee Jones and Willie Owens.

He leaves to cherish his memory his 3 daughters; Telicia Crawford, Veronica (Brandon) Banks and Veronica Powell, 1 son; Charles Crawford, 3 brothers; Phillip Jones, Sam Jones and Raymond Jones, 3 sisters; Nannie Lee Williams, Ruby Taylor and Geneva Kent, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 15, 2017 at New Life COGIC, 1072 Jefferson Ave SE, at 12:00 noon. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 11:00 AM.
