Mary Alice Shaw, age 84, was born February 22, 1933 to Richard and Mary Emma Moncrief in Montgomery, Alabama.

Mary departed this life on August 25, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by her parents, 3 daughters; Helen Pfiefer, Suzette Jackson and Gloria Floyd, 3 brothers; Richard Moncrief, Willie Moncrief and Ellis Moncrief and 4 sisters; Mary Jean Collins, Otelia Harris, Mattie Mae Liptrot and Catherine Bailey.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; George Shaw, 2 sons; Jimmie Floyd and Larry Floyd, 6 daughters; Dorothy Jean Moncrief, Rena Sims, Slyvia Floyd, Annette Jackson, Kimberly Floyd and Mary Joyce Shaw, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 1, 2017 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 60 Dennis, at 1:00 PM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 12:00 Noon.
