Jack V. Hughes, age 77, was born March 6, 1940 in Marble, Arkansas to John Henry Hughes and Alberta Johnny Lee Hughes.

Jack departed this life on August 23, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers; David, Karry, L.C. and Otis Hughes and 1 sister; Louise Brown.

He leaves cherish his memory his wife; Mozella Hughes, 1 brother; Jessie Lee (Gladys) Hughes, 5 sisters; Ruby Bentley, Essie Williams, Myrthes Hughes, Roberta Gammon and Mary Burr and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. SE, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel at 12:00 noon. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 11:00 AM.
