Obituary for Gloria Jean Cross

Gloria Jean Cross, age 61, was born May 11, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to William Brown and Glenola Moody,

Gloria departed this life on August 16, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by her parents, and sister; Deborah Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Yalonda (Dontel) Jones, Tawanna Chandler-Cross, Latisha Cross and Robin Cross, her companion; Willie Moore,4 brothers; William Moody, Brett Brown, Marvin Brown and Phillip Brown, 2 sisters; Phyllis Moody and Angie Brown, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 19, 2017, at True Light Baptist Church, 900 Thomas SE, at 12:00 noon. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 11:00 AM.
