Obituary for Sanders Whitehead

Sanders Whitehead, age 82, was born June 1, 1935 to Roy and Ethel Whitehead in Manchester, Georgia.

He departed this life on July 15, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Frank (Mary) Whitehead, David Whitehead, Eric Whitehead, Stevie Whitehead, Barbara Jean Whitehead and Pamela Whitehead, 1 sister; Geneva Moore, 23 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 21, 2017 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 2100 Horton SE, at 12:00 Noon. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 11:00 AM.
