Susan Kay Brown, age 59, was born April 1, 1958 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Donald and Patricia Swartz.

Susan departed this life on July 1, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; Marvin Brown, her son; Jason Holbrook, daughter; Jennifer Smith, stepchildren; David, Bryant and Lauren Scott, brothers; Kevin and Jeff Swartz, sisters; Gayle Korhorn, Linda Underwood and Karen Sawyer, 1 granddaughter; Chase, and a host of other family and friends.

Public viewing is scheduled for Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave. SE, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 7, 2017 at Bethel Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1024 Adams SE, at 12:00 noon. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to services at 11:00 AM.
