Robert L. Nixon, age 72, was born June 22, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Fletcher and Helen Hawkins.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and leaves to cherish his memory his wife; Ida Nixon, his children; Cedric "Bam" Quarterman, Chenique Quarterman and Kim Hall, 2 brothers; Sam Hawkins and Michael Brown, 1 sister; Eleanor "Sue" Hawkins-Smith, 4 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
