Thomas departed this life on April 22, 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter. Tracy Jefferson, 2 brothers; Willie Jefferson and Freddie Jefferson, 1 grandson; Ta'Carhi Richardson, 1 brother in-law; Alexander Epps and 1 sister in-law; Catherine Jefferson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; Peggy, his children; Danny Brown, Joe (Chyronda) Richardson, Tamiea (Darius) Palmer and Arnesia Richardson, 1 brother; Alvin Jefferson, 3 sisters; Clementine Epps, Justine (JD) Sashington, Everline (Willie) Gilmore, 2 brothers in-law; George Ridgel and Glasper (Bernice) Ridgel, 1 sister in-law; Wanda Jefferson, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 28, 2017 at Ivy K. Gillespie Memorial Chapel at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
