Helen L. Jones, age 68, was born January 3, 1949 in Oakland, California to Amos Luther and Misher Ruth Pureifoy.

She departed this life on February 9, 2017 in Grand Rapids, MI and was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter; Karenga Deisptra, 2 brothers; Frank L. Pureifoy and Bergone O. Pureifoy, Jr. and 1 sister; Margrecia E. Reed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; Calvin Jones, 2 sons; Jordan and Craig Jones, 5 daughters; Amara (Darren) Slaughter, Charlotte (Keith) Kilgore, Octavia (James) LaBlanc, Nivlac (Phinace) Wilson, and Shanova Jones, 1 sister; Demetrius R. Pureifoy-Ampadu-Siaw (Ebenezer NaNa), 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 17, 2017 at Kingdom Hall, 1320 36th St. SE, at 1:30 PM.
