James Hugo Eaddy, age 87, was born September 14, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to William S. and Clotell Eaddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Marilyn Eaddy, brothers; William S. Eaddy, Jr. and Donald J. Eaddy and sister; Shirley Henderson.

James departed this life on July 28, 2016 and leaves to cherish his memory his daughters; Michele Eaddy (Lou Nigg), Lisa Y. Eaddy and Greta Davis (Roscoe), 1 sister; Doris Eaddy, 3 grandchildren and host of other family and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Ivy K Gillespie Memorial Chapel, 1865 Eastern Ave SE, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at First Community A.M.E. Church, 500 James St. SE, at 11:00 AM. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM.
